USMC PFT calculator
Score pull-ups or two-minute push-ups, the mandatory plank, and the exact three-mile run against the current Marine Corps table. See every event’s points, your class, and the distance to the next boundary before handing the weakest event to the coach.
Pull-ups can earn 100 points. Electing push-ups caps the event at 70 points, so the highest possible PFT total becomes 270. Plank is age- and sex-neutral: 1:10 earns 40 points and 3:45 earns 100.

What the current PFT actually tests
The current PFT has three events: either dead-hang pull-ups or push-ups performed for two minutes, the plank, and a three-mile run. MARADMIN 404/21 made the plank mandatory from 1 January 2023, so an incumbent calculator that still offers crunches as a current alternative is stale. The run must be exactly three miles on a measured, reasonably level course; a treadmill is not authorized.
Why push-ups change the ceiling
Pull-ups and push-ups are not interchangeable routes to the same points. Every pull-up row can reach 100. Every push-up row tops out at 70, even at the maximum repetition count for that age and sex. A Marine who chooses push-ups gives up 30 possible points before the test begins. The event still has its own minimum, and missing that repetition count fails the PFT independently of the total.
Classes and independent event minimums
| PFT class | Official point band | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 1st class | 235–300 | Highest published class |
| 2nd class | 200–234 | Middle published class |
| 3rd class | 150–199 | Minimum passing class |
A total alone is not enough. MCO 6100.13A says that failure to meet the minimum in any one event fails the entire PFT regardless of total points. The three minimum performances add to only 120 points, so a Marine must also earn at least 30 more points to reach 3rd class. Combat-arms PMOSs have the separate 210-point requirement in 2026.
Altitude is a table, not a guessed correction
At 4,500 feet or more above sea level, units use MCO Table 2-6 for the run and provide a 30-day acclimatization period. The published altitude table moves the three-mile scoring rows 1:30 slower than their sea-level counterparts. There is no generic terrain adjustment: the order requires a measured, reasonably level course and limits sharp turns rather than awarding points for hills or a difficult route.
Scope and official alternatives
This page scores the standard three-mile event requested by most Marines and poolees. MCO 6100.13A also authorizes a 5,000-meter Concept2 row for Marines age 46 and older, and in narrower approved medical or postpartum circumstances. That row uses its own tables and is not silently converted into a run score here.
