How to read the 1RM percentage chart

Read across from a rep count to compare formulas. The load grid inverts the calculator's averaged Epley and Brzycki estimate; higher-rep rows are useful estimates, not exact prescriptions.

One-rep max calculatorEnter a real set to estimate your 1RM with both formulas and calculate the exact percentage loads for that result.

The coach turns the number into sets, RPE, and progressions instead of treating one estimate as the whole plan.

What percentage of 1RM is ten reps?

Both Epley and Brzycki put a ten-rep maximum at 75% of 1RM. Individual lifters can differ, especially when a set stops before failure.

Why do Epley and Brzycki disagree?

They fit different equations to the relationship between load and reps. They stay close at lower reps and drift farther apart as reps rise.
